Several students are still in need of scissors and glue sticks....if you're out and about next week, please pick up a few supplies they might need for the rest of the school year. Also, please write your child's name on both sides of the scissors in case they get left in another classroom. Thanks so much for your help!
Several students are running low or missing materials needed for instruction. Please check with you child to see if he/she has the following items readily accessible in their pouch:
crayons or colored pencils
pencil top erasers
black dry erase marker
If they are missing anything, please replenish as soon as possible.
Thank you so much for your help!
Fifth grade's sing-a-long will be in the gym on Wednesday, 12/20 from 8:15-9:00 AM.....parents are welcome to join in on the fun!
The Symphony Orchestra field trip is the Tuesday we return from Thanksgiving break (November 29th). It is such a great experience for the students. We are attaching the study guide from Mrs. Brown for your child to review before the trip. Please have them take a moment to look it over and familiarize themselves with the music.
Also, we will be eating in the room as soon as we return, so sack lunches will be served in the cafeteria that day if the students do not bring a lunch. Thank you!
Thank you all for a great week of conferences. It was so nice meeting with you to discuss your child's progress. As always, please feel free to email us with any questions you may have.
Conferences begin Monday, October 16th through Friday, October 20th. Please be sure to check your child's back pack for the letter that was sent home last week. Also, the book fair will be open all that week. Students will get a chance to preview the fair this Friday or next Monday.
Due to the hurricane, our Patriot Day had to be rescheduled. Our new day/time will be this Tuesday, October 3rd at 1:00 on the bus port. Parents and family members are welcome to attend.
We are so excited for this historical event happening on Monday!
We have a lot of cool activities and a safety video we will be watching before we go outside to experience the eclipse.
If your child has not returned the permission slip to go outside and view the eclipse, they will be watching it through video in the Learning Commons.
Dismissal will be at 3:00 if you want to check your child out – you need to do so by 1:30 – the office will be closing close to 2:00 until after the eclipse has ended.
If you are keeping your child home to experience it with them, Cobb County has said it is an excused absence!
Have a great weekend!
